There are always things that are near and dear to all of our hearts. Often, we don’t have the time or the resources to help out those organizations that mean the most to all of us. That’s where we come in. Fairmont Cares was formed in the spring of 2007 to act as the public service branch of Fairmont Studios, a web application development company located in Montgomery County, Maryland. We wanted to be able to support those organizations that meant a lot to us.
We feel that through helping others, we improve ourselves and our communities. We started our campaigns off by assisting The Society for Progressive Supranuclear Palsy (PSP). This foundation was particularly important to George Stafford, the CEO of Fairmont Studios, as it was a disease that took his wife’s mother away from them at an all too early age. Even though George never got to meet his mother-in-law, he feels that she knows he’s doing what he can to help by holding events to benefit The Society for PSP.
